What our guest say

‘A picturesque location. By the time we reached Maralal it was late in the night and we straight went to this lodge. After a long journey of almost 12 hours, the comfy bed and duvet cover were a welcome treat. It was like heavenly. We crashed into the bed and the moment I hit the pillow, I was off.

The next morning I came out to the cock crows and cows mooing in the distance. The lodge is beautifully perched on a hill giving a breathtaking view of the entire town of Maralal. Made of logs this lodge is among the finest accommodation you can find in Maralal. So if you want to relax after a long day drive, than certainly this is the place to be.’

‘Great place to stay! My buddy and I stayed at Ngari Hills in early September, 2020, on my way to the north of Kenya by motorcycle. On the way back, we stayed there again. It is a very nice, clean, quiet place, set on a hilltop outside of the town, with very good food. I highly recommend it for others traveling in the area’

‘Highly recommended this beautiful Lodge
The location of Ngari Hill is beautiful! Located on top of a green hill, so you can enjoy the beautiful view from all sides. The Cottage I slept in is luxuriously furnished with a good bed, a beautiful African open bathroom (fully equipped), a separate toilet, a fireplace and a beautiful veranda. But the Safari tents are also very comfortably furnished with a private bathroom and separate toilet. In addition, there are beautiful family rooms. I am curious about the swimming pool that is now under construction and the new restaurant with terrace. The staff at Ngari Hill are extremely friendly and very helpful. I also enjoyed the food; Italian and French cuisine with a Samburu touch. In short: highly recommended and we will definitely come back again.’

‘Perfect place in Maralal, Samburu
The climate on top of the Hill is really peacefull, cool climate with views over Maralal and surroundings. Especially after the heat in Loiyangalani! Rooms are nice and clean. Ask for the roast chicken or lasagne👍🏻👍🏻

Lovely birds all over the place, because of all the trees the lodge planted over the years. Just sit and relax with a cold soda/beer and your camera to capture all the beautiful bird species!

Daniel the manager makes you at comfort and can arrange various activities for you. We went to Malasso viewpoint (stunning!!) and did a Maralal town walk to Kenyatta house and Samburu market, really nice souvenirs. You can also go to a viewpoint just 10 min away’.

‘The real Kenya

Together with my husband and our 2 teenagers aged 11 and 14, we really enjoyed our 2 nights in this lodge. Very familiar and warm welcome with a lot of attention for their guests. The children are warmly addressed. Daniel the manager is very attentive and always up for a chat about Kenya and the surrounding area. The rooms were very spacious and tidy. The cook prepares the tastiest local or Italian dishes and delicious packed lunches. The view is magnificent from the terrace of the restaurant. Paul the guide took us on a beautiful hike with many contacts with the local Samburu.’
